The A380's new business class seat *won't* be Allegris
Spohr has apparently confirmed that the A380s will get a new interior:

The article mentions a new business class - that's intersting. Do these birds get the new Allegris business class only and keep the current F with 8 seats? Or is the interim currently trying to squeeze the 1.5 seats into the A380?

He said that “The A380 "will fly longer than we thought a year ago,".”
which shows that the situation is dynamic. It’s good that they will adjust to the constant changing demand. Hopefully they can do the same with Allegris.

Indeed, and scrap Allegris and come up with something sensible, LH might need to google the meaning of sensible….

The A380's new business class seat *won't* be Allegris
The A380s are getting new business class seats using an off-the-shelf design from one of LH's current partners, rather than Allegris. First, premium economy and economy will remain as-is.

If it’s an existing seat it would be between Vantage in the A359 and Super Diamond in the B789.
either way an improvement and the seats should be available at short notice.

Interesting. So they're already looking at phasing out the A380... but not the 747, hence just a temporary fix?

A380 was already phased out once, I would imagine any work on Allegris for it would have been stopped at that point. So even if they expect the A380 subfleet to last now, it would first have to catch up to the rest, and I can't see how that would not result in even more delays in already criminally delayed Allegris rollout. Going for an off-the-shelf solution is the right move in this situation.
(frankly I wonder why they didn't go for off-the-shelf on 747UD also. Maybe the cost would be prohibitive with such a small order, given that only one such product exists in the wild, or they think the decrease in capacity is not worth it.)

Purest speculation, but LH uses Safran seats in ex-PH A350 in Y and W, SQ J in A388 is Safran Cirrus III? Thomson Vantage XL is used by QF in the A380, and QR seat I was not able to find who is the manufacturer, but it's also 1-2-1 and looks like it could be off-the-shelf. That's all under the assumption that LH will want a seat that is already in use in the A380 for ease of certification.
